Change of CEO at ARCOLOR

After more than two decades of successful leadership, Dr. Jörg Müller is handing over the operational management of ARCOLOR. He has been at the helm of the company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since August 1st, 2004, and has had a lasting impact on its development. Dr. Müller retired at the end of 2025 and at the same time took over the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors from Dr. Hans Altherr. He thus remains closely associated with ARCOLOR.

Daniel Toppel took over the position of CEO with effect from January 1st, 2026. He has been part of the management team for over five years and is responsible for Sales and Marketing.

Many years of successful corporate development

Under the leadership of Dr. Müller, ARCOLOR has continuously developed and expanded its market position over the past 20 years. The company is experiencing steady growth, which has also necessitated structural expansions: the new building in Waldstatt was opened in 2007, followed by an extension in 2020.

ARCOLOR is the global market leader for decor printing inks. Continuous growth has also been achieved in packaging printing, while pioneering technological advances have been made in the field of industrial digital printing.

A particular focus was placed on internationalization. In recent years, the Chinese market has developed into the company’s most important sales market. Following the establishment of a trading company in Shanghai in 2011, the new production site in Quzhou (Zhejiang Province) was opened in 2024 – a milestone in global expansion.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Müller consistently focused on quality, innovation, and sustainability as the keystone of the company’s success. “I look back on more than 20 years at ARCOLOR with great gratitude. Together with a dedicated team, we were able to continuously develop the company and successfully position it internationally,” says Dr. Müller. “I am delighted to be able to contribute to its further development in the future as Chairman of the Board of Directors.”

Continuity and new impulses

Daniel Toppel, an experienced leader, is taking over the management of ARCOLOR. Before joining the company, he held various management positions in sales and marketing. “I am very much looking forward to shaping the next phase of the company’s development together with the motivated team,” says Toppel. “Our goal remains to offer our customers the best solutions, cultivate strong partnerships, and consistently expand sustainability.”
